The storm is approaching, a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

The storm is approaching
a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

The storm is approaching,
I heard the alarm,
The fear of danger,
My faith did disarm,

I lost the helm of faith,
I was swept too and fro,
My heart in its distress,
No patience could ever know.

From the lips of a stranger,
I heard have faith in God,
Yet I kept wavering, as
If I was lost.

I wondered too and fro,
Sighing bearing the pain,
Turning from faithful to faithless,
From strength to being in vain.

Though the storm is bound to approach,
Yet through Strom, He shall be my guide,
Tempest doth also obey Him,
Why fear when He is beside.

Did the boat of disciple sink,
Didn't the sea obey His command,
Peace be still in His command,
Full obedience He demands.

Though I was shaken

 Though I was shaken,

In the midst of the storm,

Yet still, I have power,

I still can storm.

A failure, no failure,

If the will survives,

But if the will fails,

The future too dies.

I leave my future,

In the hands of the Lord,

He is my vanguard,

All in all.

He builds the broken,

He heals the blind,

I leave him in charge,

He can all things bind.

The first two stanzas were written on 1/January/1990

The last two were added on 22/ April/2017

No fall is final I tell you

No fall is final I tell you

Poem By Reginold Jacob, India

No end of the road I tell you,
No dead end of the road I see,
Construct is just mental,
If only you can see.

Failure is the beginning,
Beginning of a new start,
The seed dies in the earth,
New life again starts.

Courage is the capacity to bounce back,
Courage is a gift you see,
Failing falling and failure,
Are parts of life you see?

Those who experience failure,
Learn the art of how to rise,
If you fail to fail,
How will you learn to rise?

Take failure as a challenge,
Challenge for you to prevail,
No fall is final I tell you,
Learn my child the art to prevail.

Women should raise her voice

A woman should raise her voice,
When justice to even one is denied,
Hands that rock the cradle,
Should not be justice denied.

Family the cradle of virtue,
Is made by you my dear,
Why shouldn't you stand for the truth,
Why should you live in fear?

Stand up speak out,
Speak and it shall be heard,
Speak for the world needs a voice,
Or you will be led as a herd.

Forget the boundaries of me and mine,
Rise up the world is thine,
When you stand up for principles,
Then this world would be fine.

Note: This poem is about how women can bring the much-needed change that society needs. It may be difficult for her today to change the world in one go, yet as she rocks the cradle she can bring the much-needed change.

When things go beyond me, a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

When things go beyond me

a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

When things go beyond me,
I still have a place to go,
He is in perfect control,
My condition, He truly knows.

I can walk over water,
Faith in Him has got that power,
If I look at the tempest,
It may way down my heart.

Lifting my heart in prayers,
Seeking the strength from above,
For I know whom I have believed,
On whom my soul doth trust.

On my knees, I seek,
His strength from above,
On my knees, I seek success,
I am sure of my saviour"s love.

Note this poem was written on 22nd march 1997.

Strengthen thou oh master I plead, a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

Strengthen thou oh master I plead

a poem by R.A. Jacob

Strengthen thou oh master I plead
For success perseverance I need,
I need thy discipline to strengthen my soul,
I need direction to reach my goal.

I need thy presence each and every hour,
I need thy help to be a star,
I need thy guidance that I may not er
I need thy love that I may spur

I need thy vanguard to lead me on,
I need thy rearguard lest I may be stalled,
I need thy side guard by my side,
I need  to know that thou are beside

Build on the wounds of realities, a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

Build on the wounds of realities
a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

Don’t be so disheartened,
That your prey may stink in the net,
Don’t think of things that ye have not,
Lest ye, loose even what ye have.

Rise up to face the challenge,
Don’t let yourself be dragged,
What a man has done, that men can do,
My heart, my soul, just understand.

From the essence of utter reality,
Skyscrapers rent apart the sky,
Keep firm on the ground of reality and,
Your plans shall never die.

If you are wounded and,
And there are marks so deep,
Don’t give up my dear,
Don’t give up I plead.

Deeper foundations are needed,
For buildings that rent apart the sky,
Ye need a deeper foundation,
If you want to reach too high.

Encountering Goliath, a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

Encountering Goliath
a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

I encounter Goliath,
Each and every day,
And I need courage,
That I may slay.

My Goliath is devoid,
Of any physical form,
He’s made of frustration,
And in mind, he storm’s.

Sometimes he makes me,
Feel I am vain,
Mostly he rules,
All my domains.

Whenever I grow,
Indecisive in life,
Goliath wins over me,
For that time.

I’ll fight him,
With words of the Lord,
For they can pierce,
Deeper than the sword.

With faith in Jesus,
I’ll fight this Giant,
As David had fought,
Goliath the Giant.

Seventh time the spider made it, a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

The seventh time the spider made it
a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

The seventh time the spider made it,
King learnt a lesson for life,
He for his lost kingdom,
Again and again, did fight.

How many times I fall,
Does not matter at all,
What matters is how many times I rise,
That is just once more than demise.

Falling, failing, fumbling,
Does not matter at all,
What matters is your courage to rise,
Your indomitable power, to rise.

Time has grained many to size,
It keeps grinding each & every time,
Those who trust in Jesus,
Can withstand the grind of time.

PERSISTENCE, a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

PERSISTENCE
a poem by Reginald Ajay Jacob, India

First I had one heart,
Now I have four,
One heart I could crush at random
Of this, I was very sure.

Today I live in four hearts,
Each heart is dearer than mine
I am given the duty to nourish
Three most beautiful lives

Let my heart go to the gutter,
I do not care anyway,
But what will happen to my hearts
For them, I always pray.

They are attached to my heart
If I get crushed, they’ll be crushed all the more
How can I bear this sadness?
The once who are my very own.

I’ll live for you
Till the time he allows
Till all difficulties
In front of my persistence bow

Note- four hearts stand for me, my twins and my wife. I wrote this poem as I passed through testing times.

Fear not the wolf

Frustrated person have this nature,
They will act as if very bold,
They find out joy in belittling,
For their heart is very cold.
Happiest move for them is to belittle,
They share their exploits,
When you know they are frustrated,
Let them live with their exploits.
Wounded childhood,
Lack of space,
Make people irritated,
Too hard to face.
Fear not the wolf,
Wolf's are rapacious for sure,
Have faith in Jesus, and
You shall be bold.
