Do not talk to a fool a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

Do not talk to a fool,

Fools, shouldnt be entertained,

You can't reach their level,

Why waste your jewels in vain.

Fools should be kept at a distance,

Fools should be always disdained,

Fools should be kept at arm's length,

Distance should be always maintained.

Once you realise the person of a man,

Maintain distance for sure,

Deceit is always covered for sure,

Don't waste your time in vain.

The fruit that Adam ate

What was that fruit the one you ate

In strict disobedience you see,

It made us love resources

Humans we cannot see.

What wisdom is this everyone is storing,

Storing much more than we need,

Storing for our future descendants,

Yet the future is never ever seen.

Surely, the fruit killed us,

Surely we all didst die,

Eating the fruit of knowledge,

Our love for our brother died.

Metal has taken place of love,

Metal has started it's rule,

Metal that are in scarcity,

Metal that often rules.

How wise we have turned to be,

We don't value flesh and bones,

We value dead metal,

Metals that have turned us into stones.

You are creating a world by your thoughts a poem by R.A. Jacob

You are creating a world by your thoughts

a poem by R.A. Jacob

You are creating a world by your thoughts,
Your words are giving it its shape,
Your actions are solidifying the same,
Take care of what ye spake.

The world that you live in,
Is not just, concrete and stones,
It's is a product of your thoughts,
Thoughts that ye just spoke.

Build a beautiful world around you,
Build a world full of faith,
Build a world full of hope,
Build a world that, on Him waits.

Mind your words they are alive,
Mind your words they have strength,
Use your tongue for edification,
Every now and then.

Do not let your eye rule your heart

Do not let your eye rule your heart,

Eyes have devoured many souls,

Lust not after the desire of eyes,

Hades is attached to its core.

If the light that's in you is darkness,

How great that darkness must be,

He judges us by our thoughts,

How can you and I flee?

Not by our action but by grace,

That's the way we can prevail,

Fruit of flesh shall always fail,

Fruit of the spirit shall prevail.

The second Adam came to fulfil,

Where first Adam had failed,

All that failed in the garden of Eden,

In the garden of Gethsemane prevailed.

Sweat turned into blood,

Tears dropped down his face,

Not my will but thine be done,

He stood for all as one.

One offering single and complete,

One offering that can never fail,

Eden and its bane,

In the place of the skull, didst fail.

Note: The poem talks about God's love. It talks about Christ's suffering in the Gethsemane and His victory over Sins on the cross.

Samson Iyanda Wonderful! He reigns and He is alive. So many wonderful lines. I just love it all. What can I do, than to praise His wonderful name? God bless you Reginold for sharing. Jide Cares. Nigeria 03/06/2015 2:24 PM

Rajeev Nair Great poem about God's victory on earth. Really like the lines: "All that failed in the garden of Eden, In the garden of Gethsemane prevailed." I think this is a very appropriate Easter poem as well. I will be writing a poem for Easter as well. Wishes friend, Respect, Rajeev.

Hold your peace and learn art

Hold your peace and learn an art,

I tell you its a million-dollar deal,

Hold your tongue  and learn an art,

I tell you it's a billion-dollar deal.

Yes, my dear deal in gold,

Why deal in silver called speech,

Hold on to your peace hold on,

Silence has gold for each.

Since an age, we try to speak,

Since an age, we clarify,

Does our speech clarify,

Or do the people get petrified.

So deal in gold it has worth,

Diamond the world will consider you,

If my words are heard,

If only my words are heard.

William Willis, I think this is wonderful dear Reginold, it really got hold of me. "Hold your peace and learn an art" for a start is such an engaging title ...so 1 point for that. I like how you convey the message with the repetition of "I tell you it's a million-dollar" so another point for that. I like how you also convey that silence is golden, as with most art subjects....it really is. ****My LINES OF THE DAY**** goes to the intelligent "Yes my dear deal in gold, Why deal in silver called speech, Hold on your peace hold on, Silence has gold for each." Another point for that dear Reginold. Holding our thought is explained away in the penultimate verse which I award another point to. So all in all a superb poem and one I could read time and time again...and for that have another point, which makes it a 5 pointer. Well penned dear sir! Wm. ***** Scotland 09/02/2015 5:47 AM

Edwin Jepson Hello Reginold, a wonderful poem with a wise message, I'm sure everyone will hear you, 5 stars read, EDDIE, UK 09/02/2015 12:05 AM

S.zaynub Kamoonpuri Aha wow creative! To the tune of the phrase, 'that silence is golden' u crafted in brilliant shine. I think people shouldn't abuse the freedom of speech just to abuse others yes. Kudos. Tanzania 09/02/2015 7:07 PM

All thoughts should not be shared

All thoughts should not be shared,
And that is the beauty of life,
For there is something called personal
That is the rhythm of life.

Some thoughts should be relished,
In the closet of our hearts
Though they are beautiful,
Yet they should not ever part.

Why should pearl be thrown,
That's a blunder so vast,
It can hurt the delicate
Feelings of a tender heart.

Hold your beautiful feelings,
Don't throw your pearls,
For some may fail to understand,
The beauty of spoken words.

Act as if you never knew

Act as if you never knew,

Act as if you were unaware,

The world lives this way always,

Now please do not stare.

That's how you act wise,

Or they'll consider you otherwise,

Use words after giving a thought,

It is the council of the wise.

Can you walk out naked,

Of course not, so wear a mask,

I tell you or you'll be caught,

Cover up, it's a much-needed task.

Maybe in the garden of Eden,

Man learned the art to hide,

He realized he was naked,

For which God provided the hide.

Hide all that is offensive,

Hide all that falls out of line,

Hide all the feelings,

Hide even what is right.

Note:- This poem talks about how we all speak only what is acceptable.  We hide our feeling and our thoughts to such an extent that they remain buried always.

If all men sins

 If all men sins,

Were on forehead shown,

A so-called civilised society,

The world would not have known.

For then all people who boast,

They are clean,

Their lowliness their lies,

Everybody would have seen.

Do not boast you are clean,

Do not feel that you are high,

For realities, if known,

Shall yourself defy?

Note This poem talks about how people act clean

Foolish man cuts the branch

 Foolish man cuts the branch,

On which he sits,

Thinking that  he is very wise,

Nor would he heed the advice.

Council of the fool is folly,

They should not be advised,

Neither will they value it,

Nor will they heed the advice.

The beauty of advice is this,

That fools can't ever heed,

For the wise, it is an ornament,

To the fools, it cannot reach.

Wisdom is surely a blessing,

Given by one who lives above,

The neck of the fool is the stiffest,

Bending is an act of love.

See how power blinds

 Pollution can be fought,

But not polluted minds,

Gross misuse of power,

See how power blinds.

Intolerant democracy is a recipe,

Recipe of perfect fall,

Democracy begins to crumble.

When freedom has its fall.

When the bells shall ring,

They will ring for all by and by,

Once failure is set in motion,

It will crush all by and by.

I can't

 Sometimes words fall short,

Sometimes words just fail,

When words lose their potency,

I turned to the one who never fails.

Words have  power indeed,

I wish to express it in one go,

Word will then accuse me,

Every word has the power you know.

Note:- The first four lines talk of a situation where poet is not able to put his remorse in words. The reason for not puting facts in words is because poet wants to hide the issue. Some time silence is the answer.

Wolves are wolves for sure

Some people will try to belittle,

You will find them everywhere,

The second you find them,

Leave that place for sure.

Once you realise the dynamics,

Don't leave yourself in their hand,

Such people wear a mask of ignorance,

Earlier the better you understand.

Hatred is always covered by lies,

Such people hate you for  sure,

Wolves wear a covering of sheep,

Yet wolves are wolves for sure.

So many diamonds are hidden

 So many diamonds are hidden

a poem by R.A. Jacob

 So many diamonds are hidden,

Hidden in the bosom of the earth,

Yet if all are discovered,

Then all shall lose their worth.

Note:- There may be many important things just like diamonds hidden in the bosom of the Earth. If all of them are discovered the value of the diamonds which is so high today will fall because of the fact that they will become much more in number.

Be wise my child, be wise

Be wise my child, be wise,

a poem by R.A. Jacob

Be wise my child, be wise,

Truth should not be loud,

Nor should it be spoken,

Nor should it be out.

Note:- When governments become oppressive wisdom takes a back seat.

The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.Psalm 12:8

Do you feel secluded

Do you, feels secluded,
Sorry, by mistake, l asked,
You keep everyone at arm's length,
Don't, you feel secluded alas.

If our status separates us,
Aren't we in a prison alas,
Prison of our own authority,
Yet, secluded, till the last.

Your prison is different,
You feel you are so free,
Yet, you are in a prison,
Just bars, you can't, see.

Carpenter of Nazareth,
Washed His disciple's feet,
Do you follow that man, if so
So imitate the master, Amen.

Deal in gold

Deal in gold

a poem by R.A.Jacob

If speech is silver,

Than silence is gold,

Deal my heart,

Deal in gold.

Give gold out to the world,

Voice should not be uttered

Speech should not be heard,

Gold has greater worth.

Words of wisdom should be wrapped,

Kept up only for the wise,

Fools can't any way discern them,

Nor do they heed advice.

Greatest folly that man can do,

Is to advice a fool,

Hold your peace I tell you,

Whenever surrounded by fools.

Note: Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.

You should always remember this a poem R.A.Jacob

You should always remember this,

That you are not the final judge,

The mighty God of Jacob,

Is always the final judge.

Fear Him and you will forget every fear,

Fear Him, your strength shall renew,

Fear Him, He is the final judge,

He can always renew.

Where is Hitler, see he is gone,

Where is Stalin, see he is gone,

Where are the so called tyrants,

Let bygone be bygone.

Worship the Lord and bow down,

Oh Yee tyrants of the world,

All of you in future,

Shall not even be heard

Oppress not and ye shall not be oppressed,

Judge not in your anger and pride,

Pride made an angel to rebel,

The greatest sin is pride.

Fear Him and ye shall be strengthened,

Fear Him and you will live,

We cant  even control our breath,

Live and let everyone live.

A foolish man cuts the branch on which he sits,

A foolish man cuts the branch on which he sits,

A foolish man cuts the branch on which he sits,
I can understand the proverb is wise,
Yet the foolish man never knows,
He can't ever be advised.

Foolish people will devour our earth,
Sometimes cutting the tree,
Sometimes fighting war after war,
Why waste paper and ink.

Of all the calamities,
That touch the earth,
Half are created,
Due to wisdom's dearth.

Yet how do the fools,
Climb up the stairs,
Putting the world in perils,

I can stare and stare.

Fire should not burn the world, a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

The fire should not burn the world,

a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

Keep your mouth shut,
Shut up, if I clearly say,
Who has ever heard your rant,
That you have something to say.

Has the rant of poor every been heard,
Have they got a voice,
Tell me, my dear,
If you have any choice.

Speak out if you wish, and
To the World, it will be noise,
Your voice will always be drowned,
Your voice will be labelled as noise.

Many voices of wisdom,
Have been silenced for sure,
If the voice is to clear,
It will be silenced for sure.

Some voice should be expressed only, on the page,
The fire should not burn the world,
The page will open on the opportune time
When they have to be heard.

Note: look at this poem from the following perspective.

  • Voice of the poor
  • Voice of minorities
  • Voice of the voter after the election
  • Voice of the journalists that are often killed
