Why tell you are naked, a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

Why tell you are naked

a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

From our hearts of heart, we know
That they are a bunch of lies,
Yet we act, as if, we don't know,
Not distinguishing truth from lies.

Have you, acted ignorantly,
Don't you know, they are lies,
Why tell the naked king
Clothes are missing, don't try.

In the world, some lies are so old,
They have attained the status of truth,
Live, and let others live, is the principle,
Who is bothered, about the truth?

Socrates spoke the truth,
What did he gain in return,
A bowl full of poison,
To the philosopher, was served.

Speak, what the world, wants to know,
Truth, let it go, let it go,
Life or death is a choice
Tell me, what you wanted, to know

Tweets can put you, Behind the bar

 Tweets can put you,

Behind the bars,

Tweets can make you,

Reach the star.

Freedom of speech,

Freedom to speak,

Socrates died drinking poison,

Holding the truth very dear.

If not by mouth, than by words,

Oh my soul, let it be heard,

Print fought the tyrants of the past,

Words have magical power.

Let not the world, suffocate you,

Write your heart on the page,

Word is the most powerful,

No weapon can it stall.

Power of word, no man can stall,

Wise will understand,

Fools cannot so my heart,

tweet on, tweet on

Note:- Whenever freedom of speech is curtailed democracy ultimately dies.

Did Socrates die

Did Socrates die, I tell you, no,
Mortal, became immortal, you see
Death kills the coward,
Breath is no sign of life, you see.

Count not your life in-breath you breathe,
Count the principles, on which you stand,
Learn to speak up for the truth,
If you are quiet who would stand.

You have no divine origin,
Socrates proclaimed the truth,
King got so ferocious,
Socrates' life he took.

Yet the king is forgotten,
Socrates still lives,
Truth lives forever,
Not the mean kings.
