Nation wants to know

Nationwide wants to know,

If democracy is alive,

Is she in ICU, is she alive,

Is there any hope, for her to survive.

Is she on a ventilator,

Is there some hope of life,

Is she a legacy of Congress,

That can no more survive.

The nation wants to know,

Will democracy survive,

Will democracy and secularism,

Be buried side by side.

Wakeup oh nation wake-up

Still, there is hope and time,

For without them

Even the nation can't survive.
