Brutus, You can't be forgiven
Poem By Reginold Jacob
Brutus, You can't be forgiven,
Brutus, You are a bunch of lies,
Brutus, You will continue to hide,
In your sins so wide.
You will have to live in secrecy,
You will continue to live in the veil,
Your name is itself a cover,
You will always remain in the veil.
Why did you stab me,
Tell me where did I fail,
No, you will continue to hide,
In the deep dark vail.
Every Caesars will find his Brutus,
Every Brutus will hide in a veil,
Every veil will one-day parish,
Leading to eternal pain.
Matthew Bill "He who would find a friend without faults will be without friend’s" (unknown.) I guess this is where the term getting stabbed in the back came from? All the senators each took a turn to stab Caesar in his back. His last dying words were “Even you Brutus” this hits close to home because we have the same story playing out in DC. In Brutus' defense, Caesar was running Rome into the ground when one forgets history one’s doomed to repeat it. A good poem that jars some deep thoughts. Thanks for sharing
